Yard Waste

Residential customers only

SCHEDULE: Normally collected weekly. However, the time between collections may be longer due to unforeseen circumstances, unusually heavy periods or holidays.

EXAMPLE: Anything organic

  • Grass clippings, leaves, and flowers*
  • Brush smaller than 6” in diameter and less than 6' in length
  • Hedge trimmings, etc.

*Grass clippings must be placed loose behind the street curb.

Place leaves, hedge trimmings, grass clippings and small branches each in a separate pile.

To assist us in being more efficient, please pile all similar materials i.e. brush, together in one group, this way we can pick it all up without having to move the truck.  This will save time required for pickup and help keep us from getting behind.  Also, if your neighbor across the street has similar materials, try to place yours directly across from theirs.  If neigbors to either side of you have similar items, it would help us if you group your similar materials as close to theirs as possible.

Yard waste, yard debris or leaves should NOT be placed on the curb in cardboard boxes.

Leaves

Loose leaves are collected year-round. During peak season leaves are picked up every two to four weeks, whereas normally leaves are picked up weekly.

Please place leaves at the curb line. DO NOT put leaves into the street, catch basin, or sidewalk. DO NOT mix other materials such as limbs, trash, or rubbish with the leaves. Always make separate piles for each type of debris to be collected. Otherwise, we will be unable to remove the leaves. Leaves should not be placed in carboard boxes.
