Public Works can assist developers in sewer tap location, determining available sewer capacity, plan review, encroachment permits, inspections of sewer taps, etc.

We want you and your family to be prepared in case of a natural disaster such as severe storm, flooding, tornado, etc.  Below are links to documents and sites that can help you be better prepared for an emergency:

Simpsonville conducts its mosquito control program using Altosid larvicide blocks.Altosid works by preventing mosquito larvae from developing into biting adults. One treatment lasts up to 150 days. These blocks are being placed in public rights of way in storm water catch basins and other areas where water tends to stand.

We own, operate and maintain more than 95 miles of sanitary sewer!  However, we only maintain the sewer mains. The lateral service lines which run from homes and business to the main lines are owned and maintained by the property owner.

How do I start garbage pickup? Please request an Ace/City-approved container. Contact Ace at (864) 877-0505. Note: The City pays for the collection of one garbage container at each residence for no extra cost.  If you require additional containers, you must contract with Ace for an annual fee of $36/additional container.  If you are not currently recycling, you may find that by recycling you will not need an additional garbage container.  You can get one recycling container at no extra cost.

How do I dispose of electronic waste (i.e. computers, televisions, printers, etc.)? Bring these items to Public Works, 110 Woodside Park Drive or the the Hipps Rd. convenience center.

 

Does Ace remove construction debris? Construction debris (cabinets, windows, doors, lumber, brick, blocks, etc) is not collected curbside.
